Link File to St. John's Central

Your files are now copied to your FACPUB folder. You are ready to view them on the Internet and link them to St. John's Central.

Sign onto St. John's Central. Your "User Name" is your St. John's Email or Network Logon. Your password is your 6-digit pin/password you use to enter the Banner Web (SJUSIS) system.

• Click the "OK" button.
• Click on the "My Courses" tab.
• Click on the course in which you want to add this file as a link.
• Click on the "Add/Edit" button.
• Type a description for the link in the textbox under "Title/Description", e.g. Syllabus Math C1000.
• Type the URL of the file you uploaded to your FACPUB account. The url should be:
  http://facpub.stjohns.edu/~yourname/yourfile.htm
  

Substitute your account name where you see "yourname" and the exact name of the file where you see "yourfile.htm". If you are not sure of the file name, view your FACPUB account and check the exact spelling of the file.

Remember ftp:// before the URL takes you to the FACPUB account folder; http:// before the URL allows you and your students to view the file on the Internet.
