Description
The Office of Global Studies offers limited work opportunities for
students who will receive College Work-Study (CWS) funds for the
semester in which they study abroad. These positions offer a
great way to earn money and brush up your resume with international
work experience!
The details:
• Up to 10 positions will be available to students who attend an
STJ semester program abroad (Note: exchange program students are
ineligible).
• DTW students can work during their 10 weeks in Paris and
Rome. Students on the Paris and Rome semester programs can
work for the entire term.
• Each position will provide up to 10 hours of work per week.
Interested students must…
• Be accepted into one of the eligible STJ semester programs
abroad.
• Possess excellent customer service, writing, computer, and
communication skills.
• Have at least $1500 in CWS funds available to them for the term
in which they’re studying abroad.

1. Complete the online Student Employment Application, accessible
through St. John’s Central. If you need assistance with this step,
contact Mary Cascio, the Student Employment Supervisor, at

2. Email your resume and cover letter to Matthew Pucciarelli
(pucciarm@stjohns.edu, 718-990-7614).
3. Both of these steps must be completed by April 22,
2013. Successful candidates will be contacted within two
weeks of this deadline.

Eligible students

accepted into the Discover the World, Rome semester, or Paris
semester program.

eligible STJ semester program abroad (Note: exchange program

programs can work for the entire term.

Qualified students must possess excellent customer service,
writing, computer, and communication skills.

In order to apply for this
position, students must have been awarded a work
study grant for the academic school year. Any
resumes that are submitted where the student does not have a work
study award, will not be considered.
