Job Purpose:  Assist in various responsibilities in Accounting department for Academic year and Summer.

Job Responsibilities:  

•    File documents in the accounting department
•    Assist accountants in ticking and tying data on the general ledger and other    reports                                                                 
•    Assist in processing journal entries in Banner
•    Perform Mailmerge for Unclaimed Property Notifications
•    Updating Spreadsheets
•    Assist in printing out various reports from Banner
•    Assist in preparing and updating spreadsheets via Excel
•    Assist in the maintenance of files in the Business Affairs vault, including light lifting
•    Photocopy documents as requested
•    Assist in the departmental effort regarding the year end close and audit
•    Assist in coordinating with other departments to obtain information and to resolve problems
•    Assist in handling complaints or concerns received from various internal and external customers and work towards their resolution
•    Other duties as assigned


Equipment Used:   
•   Computers, fax machine, photocopier


Qualifications:  
•    Good computer skills ( Microsoft Word or Excel).
•    Excellent communication skills and detail oriented.
•    The ability to handle confidential matters and to be professional.
•    Ability to work well with others.
•    Willingness to tackle new projects.
•    Ability to work between 10 – 20 hours per week (weekdays).
•    Flexible schedule (if required).
