Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical and public service functions (checking out books, handling returns, answering phones, making copies, data entry, document and a/v deliveries and faxes)
  • Must be able to assist library patrons in the use of library equipment, (e.g. un-jam or add paper to printers, and replace ink cartridges.)
  • Putting books away and shifting books, stack maintenance including shelf reading and dusting books
  • Participate in assigned projects

Qualifications

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must be flexible; this person will be assigned additional duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor
  • Must be responsible and dependable
  • Must be able to multi-task and use the telephone in a polite and professional manner

Office Hours
Hours of Library operations- Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - Midnight, Friday 8:00am - 10:00pm, Saturday – 10:00 am – 8:00 pm, Sunday – 12 noon – 11:00 pm

Work Schedule
Library is open seven days per week and staffed all of the hours listed above. Students should be available to work a combination of morning, weekday, evening and weekend hours. Flexible, maximum 20 hours a week. Shorter hours on holidays and summer sessions
