Job Description
This individual is employed as a staff member in the Office of the Dean, College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions and works under the direction and supervision of the Associate Dean for Pharmacy Programs and indirectly under the Office Manager, Office of the Dean, College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing on behalf of the Associate Dean with students, faculty, administrators and other internal and external constituents.
  • Maintain Pharmacy program databases using Excel and Access.
  • Develop an understanding and effectively use the University’s Banner system.
  • Maintain and manage the Office’s confidential filing system.
  • Effectively complete all word processing requests in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the scheduling of student curricular blocks each semester.
  • Maintain College databases that are utilized for accreditation standards.
  • Follow and abide by all policies and procedures enacted by both the University and the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions.
  • Support the Office of the Dean, when required, for activities not related specifically to the Associate Dean for Pharmacy Programs (Staffing the reception areas, coverage of the Dean’s Office during vacations, coverage at events off hours related to the College, assistance with College specific initiatives, etc.)
  • Assist the Assistant Dean for Experiential Pharmacy Programs when needed.
  • Assist the Associate Dean for Pharmacy Programs with other tasks as directed.

Qualifications

  • One to three years of Secretarial Experience.
  • Possesses excellent computer skills with extensive knowledge of database, spreadsheet and word processing (Word, Excel and Access) applications.
  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Has the ability to work well with others at various levels.

Salary
Salary commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and contingent upon the departmental budget.
