Job Description
The College of Professional Studies is seeking a candidate for the position of Secretary III who is eager to be part of a collegial, team-based working environment and whose central focus is excellence in support of academic chairs and faculty of the divisions.  Initiative, high-energy, and a strong sense of humor are critical for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist Chairperson with various duties as assigned.
  • Assist students on a daily basis.
  • Input teaching schedules into Banner.
  • Assist Chairperson with various types of correspondence to faculty and or students.
  • Process room change requests for faculty classrooms.
  • Process paperwork for audio/visual equipment for faculty classrooms.
  • Organize various divisional meetings and special events as required.
  • Answer phones.
  • Oversee the scheduling and confirmation of advisement appointments for faculty.
  • Process course cancellations, additions and changes as needed.
  • Order office supplies.
  • Provide assistance and support to other division secretaries as needed.
  • Process paperwork for new adjunct faculty.
  • Responsible for notifying by mail all adjunct faculty of their teaching schedule along with a calendar at the beginning of each semester.
  • Responsible for printing final exams.
  • Organize faculty teaching schedules and notify the appropriate parties of this information.                                                      
      
    Qualifications 
  • Minimum High School Diploma plus two years office experience required.
  • Must type at least 55-60 wpm.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Understanding and respect for a diverse student population required.
  • Understanding and a keen interest in student engagement required.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast paced environment and have the ability to handle multiple tasks. 
  • Strong work ethic is essential.
  • Knowledge of Banner software system preferred.

Salary
Salary commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and contingent upon the departmental budget.
