Job Description
The Project Manager functions as an active team member of the Design & Construction department, managing construction projects from conception to completion.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans including costs, timeline, milestones, etc.
  • Manage smaller renovation and construction projects simultaneously.
  • Travel to sites across multiple locations/campuses.
  • Develop/maintain good working relationships with contractors, vendors and third party suppliers, and communicate effectively.
  • Maintain strong client orientation to ensure excellent/very good levels of client satisfaction are maintained.
  • Participate as a member of a team to leverage resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Deliver projects on-time, within budget and to specified standards.
  • Compile data for management reports including costs, schedules, risks and mitigants.
  • Coordinate the competitive bidding and procurement process for assigned projects.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Analyze space requests and make recommendations for effective usage.
  • Ensure codes and standards for any/all projects are met.
  • Understand/interpret space planning and architectural concepts and drawings and provide insights to clients.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS required.
  • Five to Seven years experience required.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • Ability to work with mid-level administrators and academic staff.
  • Effective customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, smaller in size and scope.
  • Problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Ability to utilize project planning software.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience required
  • Working knowledge of building codes and infrastructure standards.
  • Able to develop capital budgets and analyze costs.
  • Experience working in environment with multiple locations.
  • Engineering/Architectural or construction background required.

Salary
Salary commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and contingent upon the departmental budget.
