Adjunct Faculty
St. John’s University
Peter J. Tobin College of Business – School of Risk
Management
Center for Professional Education
Manhattan Campus
An adjunct faculty position is available within the Center for
Professional Education for a graduate program to be delivered
during the summer, 2010 session. The program is part of an
on-going client program for the International School of Management
(ISM) Paris, France, whose students are DBA (Doctorate in Business
Administration) candidates. These students do not receive
academic credit from St. John’s but from their respective
school.
The students come from varied executive backgrounds, countries and
ethnicity. The course and materials are delivered in English
and will be held at our downtown Manhattan campus.
The opportunity involves the delivery of a three-day seminar in
Executive Leadership. The course will meet on Wednesday,
Thursday and Friday – July 21, 22, and 23, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. –
6:00 p.m. Course pre-assignments, research, and readings can
be posted for the students well in advance of the seminar
delivery. In addition to the three-day seminar, students are
required to submit a 5,000 word term paper within 2 ½ months of
completion of the seminar. The term paper is based on a topic
relevant to the seminar, assigned and assessed by the presenter of
the seminar, and a grade provided.
Interested applicants must have a doctorate degree (Ph.D., Ed.D.,
J.D.) from an accredited university, and prior experience teaching
at the graduate level. Relevant industry experience, as well as
experience delivering programs to international students, is a
plus.
Only qualified applicants meeting the above requirements are
invited to submit a cover letter and resume, via email, as soon as
possible for consideration. Correspondence should be directed
