Special Education, Tenure Track 

The Department/Division of Human Services and Counseling is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in Special Education. 

Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in cross-categorical special education teacher preparation programs. A record of publications, evidence of research in special education, presentations at state/national conferences, and grant writing ability is desirable. Existing college teaching in special education is also preferred. Be sure to include any related experiences with autism spectrum disorders, applied behavior analysis (A.B.A.), and distance learning.

Qualifications:

  • Position requirements include an earned doctorate in the field of special education, with classroom teaching experience working with children and youth at the adolescent/high school level.
  • This position is subject to a comprehensive background screen, with employment contingent upon satisfactory results. If access to a University vehicle is required for the position, a DMV check for driving record and valid driver’s license is also required.
