College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions
The Department of Pharmacy Administration and Allied Health
Sciences is seeking applications for a position as Director of
Allied Health Professions (ALH) to lead three ALH programs;
Physician Assistant, Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Radiologic
Sciences; within the College of Pharmacy and Health
Sciences. The Director of ALH is a full-time
tenure-track faculty position with an administrative
appointment. She/he is expected to teach for the
ALH programs and to conduct research in his/her specialty areas. In
addition, the candidate is responsible for assisting the Department
Chair to oversee all administrative and programmatic matters for
the three allied health programs at the Andrew J. Bartilucci
Center.
The key responsibilities for this position are listed
below:

Lecture in relevant topics for three allied health programs at
the Andrew J. Bartilucci Center.
·
Develop strategies to grow clinical affiliate sites and to assure
the qualities of clinical education are met.
·
Collaborate with department faculty to develop research initiatives
to support the clinical education.
·
Provide support to the ALH students to ensure successful program
completion.
·
Manage and facilitate resolution of crisis and conflict
situations.
·
Manage daily operations of the three allied health programs at the
Bartilucci Center.
·
Collaborate with the Administrative Director at the Bartilucci
Center to ensure all administrative and facilities needs are
met.
·
Development of the three allied health programs by addressing areas
of greatest needs and growth opportunities.
·
Collaborate with the College’s Office of Assessment to meet the
required outcomes set by the University and external accrediting
agencies.
·
Collaborate with the College’s Office of the Dean to address any
needs or issues.
·
Additional duties as assigned by the Department Chair and College
Dean.
Qualifications:
·
Candidates must have earned a graduate degree (doctoral degree
preferred) in a related field and a professional license in a
health profession with more than five years experience
required.
·
Candidate should possess a high proficiency in leadership skills
and proven ability to establish a collaborative
atmosphere.
·
Previous teaching and administrative experience are
required.
·
This position is subject to a comprehensive background screen, with
employment contingent upon satisfactory results. If access to a
University vehicle is required for the position, a DMV check for
driving record and valid driver’s license is also
required.
Competitive salary is commensurate with education and
experience.
