Assistant Professor, Criminology - Tenure Track

The Department of Sociology at St. John’s University in New York invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of criminology.   We are seeking candidates who can teach statistics and research methods at the undergraduate and graduate levels and who specialize in one or more substantive areas within criminology.

Qualifications:

  • A Ph.D. in sociology or criminology is required. 
  • This position is subject to a comprehensive background screen, with employment contingent upon satisfactory results. If access to a University vehicle is required for the position, a DMV check for driving record and valid driver’s license is also required.
