Employees are able to access the online Employee Career Portal 24/7 though UIS or St. John’s Central. To access the portal, log into the University Information System (UIS) directly, click the “employee” tab and then click the “employee career portal” link. To access through St. Johns Central use your St. John’s email address and UIS password; click the “employee” tab at the top of the page and then click the “employee career portal” link.

Internal Promotions or Transfers
If you are a current employee interested in applying for another position at the University, you should update your resume and apply directly online. To view and apply for open Professional/Administrative and Staff/Clerical positions at St. John’s Universityplease access the Employee Career Portal. We recommend that you attach a current resume to your online application. If you meet the minimum qualifications, your application will be forwarded to the hiring department for consideration.

To be eligible to apply for a position in another department, you must have been employed at least 12 months in your current job and met your job expectations as determined by your PFP evaluation. You may apply for a position within your department once you have completed the three-month orientation period. You should inform your supervisor of your plan to apply for another job and give a minimum of two week’s notice before starting in another position.  For more information please refer to the Human Resources Policy Manual, policy # 105 (Job Posting), policy #123 (Employee Promotions) and #124 (Employee Transfers).
