St. John's University is a member of The Tuition Exchange, a
consortium of over 570 colleges and universities that offer
competitive scholarships between member schools. Membership in The
Tuition exchange comprises St. John's Tuition Exchange Program
(TEP).
The TEP allows eligible full-time St. John's employees, their
dependent children and "legal dependents" to attend other member
schools, and in exchange, dependent children of employees of other
schools may attend St. John's. Consortium member institutions agree
to remit tuition for participants from other member schools.
Tuition Exchange is for undergraduate study only. A current list of
all participating institutions can be found at the following
website: http://www.tuitionexchange.org/.
The TEP expands the current tuition remission program to provide
enhanced educational benefit opportunites for employees,
but scholarships are not guaranteed for any
employee. Scholarships are awarded competitively and
vary annually, depending on availability of scholarship
money to St. John's employees and their dependents.
Furthermore, applicants must meet all of the admission requirements
and be accepted at the receiving school.
Recipients are chosen according to the employee's length of
full-time service as indicated on the Human Resources portion of
Banner. If minimum academic requirements are maintained, students
chosen for the TEP in the current academic year will have their
scholarship renewed next year. A waiting list is established in the
event that a recipient is unable to use the scholarship.
Please note that the waiting list does not roll over from year to
year. Please see the guidelines for more details.
