Public Safety Is Offering Active Shooter Preparedness Training

November 14, 2012 9:00 AM

Public Safety is offering the University community active shooter preparedness training to help minimize your chance of becoming a victim in the unlikely event of gunmen on campus. An active shooter scenario occurs when one or more persons who are armed with guns and whose only objective is to cause serious injury or death to as many persons as possible are present on University grounds. Come to this brief session to learn practical tips that will prepare you should you find yourself in this emergency situation.  This program is open to faculty, administrators and staff.

Note: Attendance at this program is optional and is in addition to (not in lieu of) the Emergency Readiness training that is required for all faculty, managers and employees.
