The Law School's
Visiting Jurist Series continues with A Conversation
with the Margo K. Brodie, United States District Court for
the Eastern District of New York.
Judge Brodie was appointed to the Eastern District bench earlier
this year. Born in Antigua, she is a graduate of St. Francis
College (1988) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School
(1991). Following law school, she served as Assistant Corporation
Counsel in the New York City Law Department, Real Estate Litigation
Division (1991-94) and was in private practice in New York City
(1994-99). In 1999, Ms. Brodie became an Assistant United States
Attorney in the E.D.N.Y., rising in the Office to serve as Deputy
Chief (2006-07) and then Chief (2007-09) of the General Crimes
Section, as Counselor in the Criminal Division (2009-10), and as
Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division (2010-12).
