Center for Teaching and Learning Event
Adjunct Faculty Colloquium
I would like to welcome adjunct faculty, both new and returning,
to the Spring 2009 semester at St. John’s University. The
Center for Teaching and Learning is sponsoring a Colloquium on
Monday, January 26 from 4:30 to 6:00
p.m. in the Donovan Hall Community Room located in
the residence village on the Queens
campus and another on Thursday, January 29 from 4:30 to
6:00 p.m. in the DaSilva Academic Center room 108A
on the Staten Island campus. At both Colloquia we will have
presentations on student engagement and refreshments will be
served. I hope you will be able to join us for this
event. It is an opportunity for new and returning adjunct
faculty to meet colleagues, discuss the rewards and challenges of
teaching, and be introduced to the programs of the Center for
Teaching and Learning. Please plan on joining us as we begin a
