Healthcare: meet Fred Pane, RPh
Fred Pane, RPh, is the Senior Director of Pharmacy Solutions at The
Medicines Company. Mr. Pane was the Senior Director of Pharmacy
Affairs, at Affairs at Premier, a group purchasing organization in
United States, since May 2005. He has over 28 years of hospital and
health care experience. Mr. Pane works with oncology facilities and
educates hospital executives on the oncology product line. In his
present role, he has responsibility for coordinating the oncology
drug portfolio and development of an integrated oncology product
line, political advocacy, reimbursement and revenue cycle
enhancement, and developing economic (ROI) models and Comparative
Effectiveness around medications, devices and the patient care
environments in which they are utilized. Mr. Pane provides advice
to pharma and biotech companies. He is currently evaluating the
impact of value based purchasing and how pharma and biotech and
device companies should contract around quality and comparative
effectiveness. Mr. Pane has published articles in contracting in
Pay for Performance and ROI.
