Robert A. Mangione, Ed.D., R.Ph., Named Provost of St. John’s University

Dr. Mangione Previously served as Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions

St. John’s University President, Rev. Donald J. Harrington, C.M. announced that the University’s Board of Trustees has elected Robert A. Mangione, Ed.D., R.Ph., as Provost, effective immediately. Dr. Mangione has been serving as Interim Provost since August.

“I am delighted to announce that Robert A. Mangione, Ed.D., R.Ph. has been elected by the St. John’s Board of Trustees as the next Provost of our University,” said Rev. Harrington. “Bob has provided outstanding service to St. John’s for over 30 years as both a faculty member and administrator. His commitment to academic excellence, dedication to our special Vincentian and Catholic mission, scholarly accomplishments, and concern for our students make him an exemplary choice for this position. During the past several months, he has been very effective in the role of Interim Provost; I am grateful for his willingness to assume these responsibilities on a permanent basis.”
