Community Relations

Civic groups, arts agencies and other community ogranizations that enrich cultural life in the communities surrounding St. John's University's campuses can find support from the Office of Community Relations.

Free concerts and blood drives, health awareness and food drives -- the Office of Community Relations supports these and other activities by partnering with agencies and organizations throughout New York's five boroughs.

Our Mission
For more than 130 years, St. John's University has fostered a strong sense of commitment toward its neighbors.

Accordingly, the Office of Community Relations is dedicated to understanding and serving the communities that border its campuses in the greater New York area. The Office also maintains ties with communities adjacent to the University's Oakdale, NY, location.

Through its community outreach, the Office has been able to open lines of communication with community boards, civic associations, local leaders, churches and Borough Halls. The Office also oversees several annual community related projects that help to address community needs.
