Student involvment is a driving force in supporting St. John's
sustainability initiatives. Student sustainability
coordinators in collaboration with earth club members help
Student Community Garden. All produce harvested is donated to
St. John's Bread and
Life soup kitchen.
During the school semester sustainability coordinators help
Campus Conservation Nationals and
At the end of each spring semester sustainability coordinators
with Grow NYC run a food
and clothing drive called "Chuck
It For Charity". All food and clothing collected is donated to
Wearable Collections and City Harvest.
organic soils management is also another important initiative
that is run by student involvement.
