In order to promote water conservation in the Residence Village
on the Queens campus, St. John's has:
Fitted over 3000 water restricting showerheads and sink faucets
have been replaces in the residence village. Estimated water
savings is approximately 5,000,000 gallons of water per year.
All laundry facilities have front loading washing machines which
use less water.
