St. John's makes is part of their mission to include
sustainability in all aspects of campus life with an emphasis in
educating the student body.
Many of the courses offered are either sustainability focused or
sustainability related. St. John's curriculum was evaluated while
completing STARS. It was
found that about 10% of all courses offered on campus are
sustainability focused, while about 36% of courses are
sustainability related. Also 10% of research done by professors on
campus is sustainability related.
Including sustainable practices in Residence
Life is also a priority of St. John's including; student
competitions, recycling, and water conservation.
