Meet the Candidates

A Lively and Engaging Political Discussion

The Staten Island campus of St. John's University proudly announces, "Meet the Candidates", a conversation amongst local candidates for elected office.

Political candidates vying to represent Staten Island at various levels of government will discuss the issues, their platforms and the 2012 election. In addition, the candidates will engage in a question-and-answer session.

"Meet the Candidates"

  • NYS Senator Diane Savino (23rd District)
  • NYS Senator Andrew Lanza (24th District)
  • NYS Assembly Member Michael Cusick (63rd District)
  • NYS Assembly Member Matthew Titone (61st District)
  • Paul Saryian (Candidate for the 61st Assembly District)
  • Gary Carsel (Candidate for the 24th Assembly District)

All members of our campus community are invited to attend and take advantage of the chance to learn more about the candidates themselves, as well as the issues that are critical to Staten Island. The program promises to generate conversation on topics that are of considerable importance during this election year.
