St. John's University School of Education sponsors the ongoing

Carol Gresser Forum on Education

This edition of the Forum will present a panel of three of the new regional superintendents:

  • Catherine Cashin, Region 5
  • Michelle Fratti, Region 7
  • Reyes Irizarry, Region 4

"We will discuss several major issues confronting the New York City school system," said Jerrold Ross, Dean of St. John's School of Education, "from reorganizing the school system into 10 regions instead of 33 community school districts, unifying the curriculum for over 1,200 schools, to finding enough experienced principals for 1,200 schools, how parents are going to be involved and filling the teacher vacuum for next year, this forum will be comprehensive and insightful."
