The Peter J. Tobin College of
Business
The M.B.A. program at St. John's University is a world class
business program that meets the strict accreditation standards of
the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of
Business, AACSB International.
The Overall Picture
The M.B.A. curriculum (Finance, International
Business, Marketing
Management) incorporates a wide range of knowledge, skills and
experience. Apart from functional knowledge, our M.B.A. program is
focused on the development of analytical, communication and writing
skills. In business practice, the issues confronting executives
combine aspects of marketing, management and finance. Today,
executives possess a broad knowledge of all areas of business and
an understanding of how these areas interact within the corporate
structure and the global marketplace. The curriculum provides
students with a well-rounded and broad knowledge base in all these
functional areas of business administration.
Global Future
The emergence of the global market and continual integration of the
European Community introduces new challenges to today's business
executives. The opening of the Rome campus is proof that St. John's
realizes the need to train future executives to be better prepared
in the global marketplace. Through case study analysis, you learn
to confront complete issues containing a global dimension, similar
to those facing today's business executives.
Full Time and Part Time Study
Students who attend the M.B.A. program on a full-time basis and
have an undergraduate degree in business may complete the program
in as little as one academic year, including the summer session.
Those students who enter St. John's without an undergraduate degree
in business can spend up to two years of full-time study completing
their M.B.A. program.
