Scholarships The majority of scholarships cover 25% tuition. They are awarded to incoming students on the basis of merit for the entire period of studies. To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must include an additional letter with the application material stating an interest in being considered as a candidate. Students holding tuition scholarships are required to pay general fees and any other program fees required for specific courses.
Graduate Assistantships Graduate assistantships covering 50% or 100% of the tuition cost are only offered to currently matriculated students who are enrolled at the Rome campus. They are awarded on the basis of academic achievement, the needs of the St. John's administration and possession of the skills necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position. Full and half tuition remission for up to 4 classes per semester is awarded and all students must maintain a full-time study program. The renewal, contingent on satisfactory work, is at the discretion of the University. Students who are interested in applying must complete the appropriate assistantship application form and submit it with the application materials. Resident Assistantships Resident assistantship opportunities are offered to currently enrolled students on a semester basis. RA's work closely with the Resident Director and live on campus. The part-time position includes assisting with student arrival and departure days, serving as an emergency contact for the students, and enforcing campus policies and procedures. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage. Remuneration for work includes a single room in the residence and a meal plan.
