For several semesters, the CTL has been presenting a “Great Ideas in Teaching” workshop.  This event is one of the best-received presentations we sponsor.  So this semester we’ve expanded the concept.  On January 26 there will be an introduction to the three great ideas, and then a workshop on each of them will follow later in the semester.  The entire schedule is given here:

Three Great Faculty Ideas for Student Engagement: An Introduction
Steven Graham, Kristin Prevellet, and William Torgerson
Tuesday, January 26, 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., Marillac 330
All three of these ideas involve encouraging faculty to think deeply about their teaching so that they can encourage students to think deeply about their learning.
