For several semesters, the CTL has been presenting a “Great
Ideas in Teaching” workshop. This event is one of the
best-received presentations we sponsor. So this semester
we’ve expanded the concept. On January
26 there will be an introduction to the three great ideas,
and then a workshop on each of them will follow later in the

The pedagogical workshop is a way for faculty to help each
other assess their assignments and other teaching strategies in an
encouraging environment.
