The most decorated student-athlete in Red Storm history, women’s basketball stand-out Da’Shena Stevens ’12TCB has been selected as BIG EAST finalist for NCAA Woman of the Year.

The annual award honors graduating female athletes who distinguish themselves in academics, service and leadership as well as sports throughout their college career. From 429 nominees nationwide, the NCAA will choose the top 10 from each division. A national winner will be announced in October.

"We are all really proud of Da'Shena for what she accomplished on the court at St. John's and, more importantly, for what she was able to do off the court—in the classroom and the community,” said head coach Joe Tartamella. “Her commitment over the past four years brought us to new heights as a program, and this is truly an honor for her and for St. John's."
