NYC Taxi
212-302-TAXI
In New York, all licensed taxis are yellow and have the word "NYC TAXI" on the door. Only yellow taxis can stop for riders hailing from the street. All meters are required to give receipts. We encourage you to keep this receipt; it will help you if you need to find lost property or file a complaint. Tipping for good service is customary.

Note
Taxicab rides are also available directly from each airport; see dispatcher at the airline terminal.
