STJ Channel Request Guidelines

*Please allow at least 7 business days for processing*

  1. We are very limited in the number of channels that can be active at any given time.  Too many channels slow down access for everyone. As a result, not every request will result in a channel.

  2.  Channels can be seen by EVERYONE — multi-campus programs and services are given the highest priority.

  3.   Channels cannot be wordy, therefore all details must be on the online calendar or OrgSync or another website. (Please provide the URL that links to your detailed information.)

  4. Photos may be included in channels.  Must be in .jpg, (.jpeg) or .png format and cannot be clipart.  Images must be under 1MB. (Please do not send anything larger than that.)

  5. If you use a FLYER they must be ADA Compliant (i.e. readable by the electronic readers used by the visually impaired.) Accordingly, please use a minimal amount of text and make sure the text is easily readible (at least 16 pt. font)  Otherwise, please send us your text and your image separately.

  6. Center Channels must be 500 pixels wide and up to 300 pixels in length. Side Channels must be 210 pixels wide and up to 200 pixels in length. This means that we are very limited in the ability to include text.  It is better to include a link to a website with more information. Rather than design a channel, please send us the text and graphic separately so that we can design it and ensure that it is ADA compliant.

  7. Contact Cindy Grossman for more information or to submit your request.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Information sent as Publisher or PowerPoint files are not accepted.

  • Although we occasionally use videos, they must be tested thoroughly and scheduled so please provide at least 2 weeks advanced notice. No videos should be over 60 seconds in length.

  • Channels are rotated on STJ Central in order to highlight as many events as possible, so please do not despair if your channel is moved down the list or temporarily removed.
