Scholarships and Assistantships

Scholarships
Scholarship awards are competitive and are made on the basis of scholastic achievement, need, and evidence of leadership, work experience and other personal characteristics that may add value to the academic and social atmosphere at SJU. Scholarships vary from partial to full tuition. They are generally given to full time students for a period of one year. To be considered for a scholarship, you must include an additional letter with your application material stating your interest in being considered as a candidate. Students holding tuition scholarships are required to pay the general fees and any other fees required for the courses they are taking.

Graduate Assistantships
Graduate assistantships are competitive. Full and part time assistantships are awarded on a semester basis to qualified students. These awards are based on academic achievement. Full tuition remission for up to 4 classes per semester is awarded and all students must maintain a full time study program. Their renewal, contingent on satisfactory work, is at the discretion of the University. Students who are interested in applying for a graduate assistantship must complete the appropriate application form in addition to all the application materials and send all material. For further information about the availability of assistantships, please contact the Director in Rome.
