about our community and recruitment. |
Fraternities and sororities have been an integral part of the
St. John's University community since 1956. Our Greek
organizations are comprised of groups of individuals with various
interests. They are bonded together by common goals and
aspirations. These bonds are strengthened by honor,
friendship, truth, knowledge, and character. Greek membership
carries with it many benefits including leadership opportunities,
academic support, an emphasis on service, and a bond of brotherhood
or sisterhood.
Opportunities for personal growth and the development of
interpersonal skills are synonymous with fraternity and sorority
life. Young men and women have the opportunity to test
themselves in a supportive atmosphere where they learn new skills
that will enrich their life experience and prepare them for career
challenges and fulfilling relationships.
Joining a fraternity or sorority is a lifetime commitment - a
commitment that will benefit you now and in the future. Our
Greek community has so much to offer you. It's comprised of
chapters that are individually unique, but together, they are a
complete and united community.
