Mission of Leadership
Development
The mission of Leadership Development is to supplement our St.
John’s University mission by educating and providing programs that
assist and enhance students in their personal growth,
decision-making, and leadership advancement and training.
Developing leadership skills is an important part of the overall
college experience and can lead individuals to personal and
academic success. The area of Leadership Development provides
leadership training through a four- tier certificate program as
well as facilitates and creates customized workshops and student
organizational training. We facilitate development in the
Vincentian tradition by providing a variety of opportunities for
students to facilitate and participate in our certificate and
non-certificate Leadership program, Women In Leadership Program,
Servant Leadership Program, Mentoring Program, and Greek
Life. We also provide students with a wide range of
opportunities to participate in community service events locally,
nationally, and internationally.
