St. John's and MCU Participate in Distribution of Thanksgiving Holiday Turkeys and Pies

St. John's joined forces with Municipal Credit Union (MCU) last week to help provide those less fortunate with a Thanksgiving Dinner. The "Turkey Day Donation" effort, started by MCU in 2010, distributed turkeys and pies and helped bring a holiday meal to the tables of about 300 Queens families.

St. John's University Introduces New Catholic School Scholarship

St. John’s University announces a new award for graduates of Catholic high schools nationally to be known as the St. John’s Catholic School Scholarship. This action is taken in response to a recommendation from the Advisory Board of the Institute for Catholic Schools (ICS) at the University.

Tobin College Students Receive Honors at Annual Gamma Iota Sigma Conference

Alpha Iota, St. John's chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma – the international risk management, insurance and actuarial science fraternity – placed third out of 40 active chapters this year, as students from The Peter J. Tobin College of Business learned at the society's 40th annual conference in October.
