Mixed
Chorus
St. John’s University Mixed Chorus has been serving St. John’s and
the surrounding community with choral music for more than 100
years, enriching the lives of its audiences and its members.
Their diverse repertoire covers pop, musical theatre, classical,
show choir, a capella and more.
Under the direction of two-time Emmy Award winning
conductor/composer Kim Oler, Mixed Chorus has performed the
National Anthem for sporting events in St. Johns’ Carnesecca Arena
and the world famous Yankee Stadium. The Mixed Chorus gives
performances on and off campus throughout the academic year,
including two major concerts -- a Concert of Lessons and Carols in
St. Thomas More Church where they are joined by alumni and a
spring Performing Arts Concert. Many Mixed Choristers count
their experiences with the group as the best part of their college
experience.
Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tears
Sing with me, if it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good lord will take you away
