In the Vincentian tradition and complementary to its primary goal of truth and learning, St. John’s intends to provide its students with experiences and services which enlarge upon classroom learning and which apply to the realities of contemporary life and to the promotion of social justice, especially those most in need. St. John’s seeks to instill in its students a deep concern for the rights and dignity of the human person, especially the poor. The St. Vincent de Paul Society, an international organization of lay persons, provides this opportunity.

Membership Requirements The Society is open to the St. John’s University Community.
