lively discussion of Election Day issues.

Documentary & Discussion of the
award-winning film Street Fight with filmmaker Marshall
Curry
School of Law Belson Moot Court Room 6:30pm Viewing.
Discussion to immediately follow.
This year marks 10 years since the 2002 Newark Mayoral race
between then Mayor Sharpe James and then Council Member Corey
Booker. Participate 2012 will host a learning experience that
examines the 2002 Newark Mayoral election and explores deeper
socio-political issues of race, ethics and campaigning in modern
urban politics. This event features a public viewing of the
documentary Street Fight immediately followed by open discussion
and audience Q&A featuring award-winning filmmaker Marshall
Curry. Street Fight was a 2005 Academy Award Nominee for best
Documentary.

issues of importance to college students and the local
community.
