Haraya is the Pan-African Students Coalition on the Queens
Campus. Haraya is the Swahili word for pride, dignity and
freedom. We are a programming board whose focus is to
facilitate events that will uplift, enlighten and educate the St.
John's University Pan-African community. Their events are
geared towards creating growth in the areas of academics, community
service and social events.
Haraya is also the umbrella organization for the Pan-African
Student's Council. This council is made of ten
organizations. Together they strive forwards towards
strengthening the Pan-African Community at St. John's
University.
