Founded in 1987 by a few dedicated students, the St. John's
University Jazz Band has performed for over 10 years. They
practice throughout the year in order to improve their skills and
confidence as a group of musicians.
Each year, under the direction of Fred Motley, jazz members
perform in concert. The Jazz Band's high quality music
combined with their "big band" style continues to provide a unique
concert experience.
