Residence Directors (RDs) are full-time professionals who live
in and are responsible for overseeing one residence
hall. The RDs are also responsible for the implementation of
policies and procedures; supervising the facilitation of residence
hall programming; advising hall council; serving as the primary
judicial hearing officer for their building; directing the overall
management, operation and administration of the building; and
performing on-duty responsibilities.

Hello! My name is Katelynn Coy and I am the Residence
Director for DaSilva Hall. I am originally from Queens, New
York. I attended Manhattan College in the Bronx where I
majored in Elementary and Special Education. I then decided
to pursue a career in Higher Education Administration and attended
graduate school at Texas A&M University in College Station,
Texas where I was also an RD. Prior to St. John’s, I worked
at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.
My office is DaSilva 100, and my office hours are Monday-Thursday
9:00 am- 4:30 pm and Friday 9:00 am- 3:00 pm. All are encouraged to
stop by and say hello!
