Organization’s Mission To foster an understanding and appreciation of the diverse and culture-rich countries of Eastern Europe and their role in global development. Our organization aims to unite students in celebrating their differences through involvement and participation in various social, cultural, educational, and political activities. We seek t provide a friendly environment for members and students of St. John’s to interact, share ideas, and build a community of openness and respect for one another. We intend to perpetuate the values of service and collaboration between cultures and call attention to their importance. It is the primary responsibility of the executive board to ensure that the organization fulfills its mission.Brief Description of Organization The Eastern European Students Association is a cultural organization at SJU that shares in the values ad mission of the university by promoting diversity and cultural awareness among members of Eastern European countries as well as the larger university community. Membership Requirements Open and guaranteed to any St. John’s University student with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above interested in learning about cultures of Eastern Europe and participating in the activities of the organization.
