When he has time between classes, Sean Debiase ‘12CPS heads for
the Starbucks café at St. John’s University’s magnificent new
D’Angelo Center. Then he takes his favorite seat by the fireplace
in the Center’s first-floor lounge. “It’s a great way to recharge
your batteries,” he says.

always has company. Since its grand opening four months ago, the
four-story, 127,000-square-foot D’Angelo Center has become the most
popular hub of student life on the Queens campus. Rising above a
new quadrangle, the Center’s Tudor styling, arched windows and
144-foot tower echo St. John's original buildings. The
brick-and-stone front overlooks benches and pathways where students
gather.
Inside, there is space for every campus activity. The sunlit
lounge features plush seating, floor-to-ceiling windows and a
fireplace. The first and second floors house the Division of Student
Affairs, a recreation center, offices and meeting spaces for
St. John’s 180 student clubs and organizations. The Center also
features high-tech classrooms, conference rooms, a full-service
cafeteria and a Starbucks café.
The
D’Angelo Center reflects St. John's focus on providing the
highest quality campus and academic services — and
the loyalty of graduates like Peter and Peg D’Angelo, whose
generosity made the Center possible. Peter D’Angelo ‘78MBA is a
University trustee. Margaret LaRosa D’Angelo ‘70Ed chairs The
School of Education’s leadership committee.
We invite you to schedule a campus visit so you
can speak with admission advisors, students and professors while
seeing our D’Angelo Center and other University sites for
yourself.
