More than 40 St. John’s University recent graduates enjoyed the ambience of the warm mahogany paneled bar, sipped complimentary first cocktails and relished the variety of fondue flavors which included Classic Swiss, Gouda Chipotle and of course, Chocolate.

“Events like this remind me of what I love about St. John’s,” said Young Alumni Committee member Shelly Garcia '05TCB, '07MBA. “It’s great to see so many familiar faces.”

Many of the attendees expressed their overall satisfaction with the event, declaring it to be one of the best happy hours they ever attended. They also emphasized the value of having events where they can reunite with former classmates.

“This was a great way to reconnect with old friends you do not get to see very often,” said Alex Shalan '09CPS.

Amy Szeto '09CPS, who came with friends to celebrate a special occasion, noted “I really enjoyed the event. It was a fun way to spend my birthday and a good way to incorporate friends into the St. John’s family.”

The series continues next month with an OktoberFest-themed beer tasting at the Chelsea Brewing Company on Thursday, October 15, 2009.
