well as your student, to the St. John’s community! As a university
we are dedicated to making your student’s individual experience
both educationally challenging and personally satisfying. We
believe that in order for your student to be successful we must
build a strong partnership which is why we welcome your
participation in Parent Orientation.
We strongly encourage you to attend
Orientation with your student. During Parent Orientation you will
learn about the University’s many services and the opportunities we
provide to engage our students in the St. John’s community both
academically as well as socially. You will also have the
opportunity to meet and speak with faculty, administrators, and
staff from varying departments across campus. Some of the key
offerings at Parent Orientation include academics, career
development, student engagement, public safety, community service,
among many others. Some of our Orientation Leaders, who are current
students, will spend the day with you and provide their views about
what it is like to be a student and part of the St. John’s
community. We believe you will find Parent Orientation to be a
great chance to share in the excitement of going to
college.
