Freshman Orientation

Orientation is a time when the University community comes together to embrace and welcome our new students. During your Orientation you will have the first opportunity to establish relationships with your academic deans, faculty and several University departments. You will also learn to navigate your university surroundings, be exposed to all on campus resources and most importantly you will have a chance to meet fellow incoming students and current student leaders with whom you will build friendships with that can last a lifetime.

Please note that Orientation is a REQUIRED program for all new students, including freshmen (resident and commuter).

The Freshman Orientation is a 2-day, overnight program with the exception of the August 7-8 session, which is 2 days but is not overnight.

If you are unable to attend any of the sessions listed below, please contact the New Student Orientation office at orientation@stjohns.edu or (718) 990-5353.
