Campus Ministry efforts and outreach at the Manhattan Campus are
closely coordinated with the wider Campus
Ministry Staff from Queens and Staten Island.
People, Programs and Presence
Campus Ministry is about people, programs and, most
importantly, a presence within St. John’s University. Our
Campus Ministry staff works with students and members of the
faculty and professional community to support each other in living
the Mission of St. John’s University.
Campus Ministry is the Hub for Spiritual
Growth
Campus Ministry welcomes students of all religious
backgrounds. At the same time, we offer many programs and
opportunities for our Catholic students to strengthen their
Catholic identity and be active in living out their faith. We
work to continue the tradition of offering intellectual and moral
education at St. John's University.
Campus Ministry is the Hub of Student
Service Activity
From the ideas of St. Vincent de Paul, Campus Ministry works to
bring an awareness of the dignity of every human person,
especially the poor. The student organizations and programs
that we oversee, such as Midnight Runs, where we travel around
Manhattan offering food, supplies and presence to the poor and
week-long service trips to various sites around the nation
(Philadelphia and New Orleans) and the world (Panama,) provide the
ability for our campus community to recognize the issues effecting
our New York metropolitan area and the world around us.
The Manhattan Campus Chapel is open around the clock and is
located in Room 119.
