Latino Heritage Month is nationally celebrated and recognized
from September 10 - October 15. The historic context of this
celebration is to increase awareness and celebrate not only the
contributions, but the various Diasporas that reflect the Latino
community. The celebration is designed to cover a variety of
facets that have impacted us locally, as well as globally. The goal
for the 2012 St. John’s University Latino Heritage Celebration is
to recognize and celebrate the positive impact of Latino culture;
as well as foster civic and social responsibility, leadership,
education, and spirituality among our St. John's student population
through our programming. Join us as we are “Celebrating
History and Empowering Communities”.
