K.P. Jayasankar is a Professor and Chair for the Centre for Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India where his documentary collaborator, Anjali Monteiro, is also a Professor.

Currently a Fulbright Fellow who is a visiting lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Monteiro has a master’s degree in economics and a Ph.D. in sociology. Dr. Jayasankar has a master’s degree in German language and a Ph.D. in humanities and social sciences.

Their films have been screened extensively at festivals all over the world and have won 13 national and international awards.

Program is organized by the Division of Mass Communications, Journalism, Television and Film, College of Professional Studies, and the Rosalie Rendu Roundtable, a Local Society Initiative of The Metanexus Institute.
