Comment:  It is nice to see St. John's trying to try new things. The blog reminded me of some of the experiences of my Freshman Year at St. John's. I would like to comment, also, that the school is turning out very beautiful, with regards to the landscaping.

Comment:  No matter what happens, it seems like St. John's students stick together. I enjoy the fact that blogging has been started; it is a hope to see it continue. Father Maher, hopefully next year, sports teams will do equally well (even without John Kelly as Redzone Chair).

Comment: I particularly love how students are able to comment on this blog. I didn't realize that until I saw another student's posting, but I think it really serves to bring the campuses of St. John's even closer. We can all discuss how life at St. John's has served to make us better people with respect to our differing individual experiences on our respective campuses. I've been to the Queens campus a few times this year and plan to take classes there next semester, but this year I was not able to attend all of the events and lectures that were listed in this blog. So, thank you Fr. Maher, for sharing your experiences with regards to these exciting events. I look forward to experiencing them myself next year!

Comment: I am glad that there is a variety of activities to do, no matter what campus you are on. This year, I commuted from Staten Island to Queens for classes and if it weren't for the shuttle, I don't think I could have taken the different subjects available. From Frances Mayes to William Gardella, who arrested the "Son of Sam," I got a taste of what the lectures offered. Winter Carnival and Spring Fling were amazing and seemed like a scene cut out from a movie; it was the perfect way to end both semesters! I cannot wait to see what St. John's has to offer this upcoming year and becoming much more involved. This blogging idea is a great one because we get to interact and see the perspective of students on other campuses.

Comment: It was definitely a wonderful year. I am delighted to say that after a lot of time and effort and with the help of dedicated students both the Staten Island and Queens Campuses have started their "Discover New York Club" and have been recognized on both campuses by Student Government. Students from all levels are welcome to be part of the Club on either campus.
