This program will train non-supervisory administrators and staff on topics of sexual harassment and discrimination. We will highlight St. John's Policy and the various laws with a focus on student situations and awareness of behaviors around co-workers and students. Participants will gain a greater understanding of how words and actions may be inappropriate and affect others, as well as how to handle concerns. Themes will be connected to St. John's mission and values. At the end of this session, employees will be able to:
•Understand the scope and range of various types of discrimination and harassment;
•Understand that employees are responsible for setting a good example with their behavior and escalating issues to their manager or HR in a timely and appropriate manner when concerns arise;
•Recognize how inappropriate behavior can affect individuals, departments and the University.
The workshop will be held Friday, December 15, 2017, 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
